Generation of Excellence Trendsetters Non Profit has a profound love for the community and currently provides programs in Moral and Personal Support, Dance, Music, Performing Arts, Entrepreneurship, Music and Art Therapy, Radio Personality, Video and Photography training, and Youth mental health training and advocacy.
Every Life Matters
Generation of Excellence Trendsetters Nonprofit was founded by Dr. LaTonya Baker, a visionary leader, Community Health Worker, Community Health Worker Trainer (Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship), community advocate, and Milwaukee native with a deep passion for empowering individuals and families to thrive. Dr. Baker also received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Psychology in recognition of her leadership, community impact, and dedication to helping individuals overcome barriers and achieve personal and professional growth.
Dr. Baker attended Milwaukee Public Schools and graduated from North Division High School, where she was actively involved in band, choir, and other extracurricular activities. It was during this time that she discovered her love for music, performing arts, leadership, and community engagement—passions that continue to influence and shape her work today.
Generation of Excellence Trendsetters Nonprofit was created with the mission of helping communities not just survive, but thrive for generations to come. As a Project-Based Training Institution, the organization provides hands-on learning experiences and real-world scenarios designed to prepare individuals for real-life challenges while promoting confidence, leadership, education, workforce development, health equity, and long-term community success.
Through her work, Dr. Baker has dedicated herself to training and mentoring future Community Health Workers, supporting justice-impacted individuals, strengthening families, and building collaborative programs that address housing, healthcare access, workforce development, and community wellness.
